Hi everybody! Today I got some great advice and it got me motivated all over again to work even harder on my projects. I have so many creative outlets and I just can’t choose. So this (not really big) workspace is were I will work on my book and my jewelry line. I will also be drawing and sewing here. As you can see I’ve organized all my pencils in the colored little buckets on the wall. My sewing machine is on their also. My mannequin with a dress I’m working on and a couple of my fashion books and magazines. And of course, my camera. There was no more room for my piano, hahah. Hope you like it!
Hallo Allemaal! Ik kreeg vandaag geweldig advies en het gaf me weer helemaal nieuwe en frisse motivatie om harder te werken aan mijn lopende projecten. Ik heb zoveel creatieve hobby’s waar ik aan werk, dat ik gewoonweg niet kan kiezen. Dus an deze (niet al te grote) werkplek zal ik gaan werken aan mijn boek en mijn sieradenlijn. Ook ga ik hier tekenen en naaien. Zoals jullie al kunnen zien heb ik al mijn potloden georganiseerd in gekleurde emmertjes aan mijn muur. Ook staat mijn naaimachine op mijn bureau. Mijn paspop met een jurk waar ik nog mee bezig ben, nog wat mode boeken en tijdschriften. En natuurlijk mijn camera. Er was alleen geen ruimte meer voor mijn piano, hahah. Hopelijk vinden jullie het wat! xoxo |

I am in love with Elie Saabs designs and I wanted to share with you his new spring summer haute couture collection of this year. I selected my favorites, but it was difficult. There is seriously not one design I wanted want to wear!!!
Ik ben helemaal verliefd op de designs van Elie Saab en ik wilde je zijn lente zomer haute couture collectie van dit jaar laten zien. Ik heb mijn favorieten ertussen uit gehaald maar het was moeilijk kiezen. Ik zou serieus elk kledingstuk wel willen dragen!!! xoxo |

Look at what I got in the mail yesterday!!! The first two copies of my book:D I’m so excited!! I have always love to read and write and in 2011 I got an amazing oppportunity to write for this awesome publisher, Ellessy.

Starting my own jewelry line!!!

Handmade jewelry lineWell I have some amazing news! I haven’t been posting that much anymore on my blogs, including Pretty Little Liars, but that’s because I’ve been working so much. I have waited a long time to tell anyone, but I think now is the time! I am starting a jewelry line. I can’t say to much about it because I’m in the middle of the proces of creating the collection, getting everything ready like the website/shop, jewelry boxes and smaller things like business cards, office supplies, storage facilities etc. There’s also a lot of financial business that needs to be taken care of and of course I’m designing the entire collection. I have to make photos of my jewelry and marketing plans. I’m trying to work all this out next to my job and studies. That means I barely have time to sleep! Hahaha. But I’m so excited so I really don’t mind at all. I’m just so happy I finally took this step. I will definetly keep you guys posted! And of course give you a release date asap! Nou ik heb geweldig nieuws! Het is jullie misschien opgevallen dat ik weinig heb gepost de afgelopen tijd, dit geldt ook voor mijn Pretty Little Liars Blog! Maar dat komt doordat ik zoveel gewerkt heb de afgelopen tijd. Ik heb lang gewacht met dit nieuws verspreiden maar ik denk dat het nu wel kan. Ik ben een sieradenlijn begonnen!!! Ik kan er niet veel over vertellen omdat ik midden in het proces van het creëren van de lijn zit, en het maken van de website/shop, mooie sieradendoosjes laten maken. En de kleinere dingen zoals visitekaartjes laten printen, kantoorartikelen bestellen, opbergkasten kopen etc. Er zijn ook veel financiële zaken die geregeld moeten worden en natuurlijk het ontwerpen van de gehele collectie. Ik moet foto’s maken van mijn sieraden en de marketing regelen. Ik probeer dit allemaal te doen naast mijn gewone baan en mijn studie. Ik heb dus nauwelijks tijd om te slapen! Hahaha maar dat geeft niet want ik ben te bij dat ik eindelijk deze stap heb genomen! Ik houd jullie zeker op de hoogte en zal zsm een openingsdatum geven!!! xoxo |

I was supposed to go to this amazing event by Pelliano, gorgeous high fashion brand for men, but due to heavy snowfall and my ancient car I wasn’t able to come. I am so bummed out! But, good news, I am invited to come see the new collection in their showroom next week! Of course we, at Nuts & Noble, sell items of this brand as well. Yesterday I visited my 85 year old grandparents. They live pretty far away so I don’t get to see them very often. They moved from Amsterdam to the north part of the country. Their new house is amazing, enormous and an amazing view. Anyways, my grandfather is very creative and loves to paint and yesterday I got to pick a couple of his painting! I loved so many of them and finally chose these two paintings.
Gisteren ben ik bij mijn opa en oma op bezoek geweest die net 85 jaar oud geworden zijn. Ze wonen vrij ver weg dus zo vaak zie ik ze niet. Ze woonde vroeger in Amsterdam maar zijn nu verhuisd naar het noorden van Nederland. Het nieuwe huis is gigantisch, echt prachtig met een geweldig uitzicht. Mijn opa is heel creatief en houdt van schilderen en ik mocht enkele schilderijen uitzoeken om mee naar huis te nemen. Helemaal geweldig, ik heb er twee uitgekozen! xoxo |

MOAM &FOAM Opening 2013

Well yesterday night I went to the opening of MOAM &FOAM 2013 and it was Amazing! So many people came to the exhibition and I got to meet many brilliant designers and photographers like Frans Molenaar. I was invited by the PR Company CreamPR to come and take photos of the entire opening. At first I was mainly outside, taking pictures of people going in. The opening was invite online. After that I went inside as well and got to see all the amazing pictures and clothing, I really loved it. It was extremely busy so pretty difficult to take good photos because I could barely keep my camera near me. The place was packed! I heard a 1000 people came. Big succes! Gisteravond was het eindelijk zover, de opening van MOAM! En het was echt geweldig! Er kwamen ontzettend veel mensen naar de expositie en ik heb veel briliante designers en fotografen gezien waaronder Frans Molenaar. Ik was uitgenodigd door het PR bedrijf CreamPR om foto’s te komen maken van de opening. In het begin stond ik vooral buiten om foto’s te maken van de mensen die binnen kwamen. De opening was enkel voor de mensen die uitgenodigd waren. Daarna ging ik zelf ook naar binnen en kon ik alle foto’s en kledingstukken bekijken. Ik heb echt zulke mooie stukken gezien! Maar het was zo ontzettend druk dat het heel moeilijk was foto’s te maken. Ik kon nauwelijks mijn camera voor mij houden omdat iedereen rondschuifelden om bij de volgende foto te komen. Ik las dat er 1000 mensen ongeveer waren gekomen. Enorm succes dus! MOAM &FOAM Fashion Event in Amsterdam

I got an amazing invite couple of weeks ago to go to a fashion event in Amsterdam here in the Netherlands. I am real honored and of course I’m going!!! The exhibition is called MOAM &FOAM where photographers work together with 15 designers. They will give their own interpretation of 3 well known photographs of iconic Dutch photographers Anton Corbijn, Erwin Olaf and Inex van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin.The event itself was created by Martijn Nekoui. I’m real excited about it, can’t wait to show you the photos!
Enkele weken geleden ben ik uitgenodigd voor een super gaaf fashion evenement in Amsterdam. Ik voel me echt vereerd dat ik naar de opening mag komen om foto’s te maken. De expositie heet MOAM &FOAM en zal het werk laten zien van fotografen die samen werken met 15 designers. Zoals velen van jullie waarschijnlijk wel weten is Pretty Little Liars weer begonnen. Helaas loopt Nederland echt tragisch ver achter, maar gelukkig betekent dat niet dat we alles hoeven te missen. Ik vond enkele accessoires en kledingstukken echt heel leuk dus ik dacht laat ik die hier eens posten.
